Second Opinions | |
| Opinions vary - make sure you get the best | ||

The University
of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center did a study of patients who
already had a diagnosis of breast cancer and who sought a second opinion
- of those cases reviewed, the recommendation for surgery was altered in
77 of 149 patients (52%). Second opinions are important to make certain your diagnosis is correct - for better or worse. Only after correct diagnosis can the proper treatment plan be developed. A second opinion from the Center for Breast Health can save your life or help you avoid unnecessary surgery or other painful and expensive treatment.
