Although the
causes of breast cancer are not completely defined, it is clear that age, gender, lifetime exposure to estrogen and
a woman's age at the time of first childbirth play significant roles. We recommend a Custom Breast Cancer Risk Assessment for each of our patients. In addition, there are some ways to make breast cancer less likely to develop. These ways include eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly and limiting alcohol consumption. For women at higher risk for breast cancer, anti-estrogen drugs or other risk-prevention may be appropriate. |
