Diagnosis
We can make sure you get the correct diagnosis - fast
Eighty percent of all breast biopsies are benign.  However, some do result in cancer and it is important that you get all of the facts.  Breast cancer can be detected by a radiologist on a mammogram, but breast cancer is only truly diagnosed from a tissue sample that is reviewed by a pathologist.

We look at size, tumor grade, hormone receptor status, HER2/neu oncogene overexpression, and margins of resection as part of your diagnosis.  We also look at whether your cancer is invasive or non-invasive.

Types of Breast Cancer:

  • DCIS - Ductal Carcinoma In Situ
  • IDC - Invasive Ductal Carcinoma
  • ILC - Invasive Lobular Carcinoma
  • Recurrent and Metastatic Breast Cancer
  • Inflammatory Breast Cancer
